چکیده
Abstract The paper describes the observational and modeling efforts performed under Bolzano Tracer Experiment (BTEX). BTEX focused on basin surrounding city of Bolzano, at junction three tributary valleys southern side Alps, to characterize ground-level impact pollutants emitted by a waste incinerator close city, atmospheric factors controlling dispersion processes in whole basin, different winter weather situations. As part experiment, two controlled releases passive gas tracer (sulfur hexafluoride, SF 6 ) were through stack 14 February 2017 times, starting respectively 0700 1245 LST, representative distinct phases daily cycle. Samples ambient air collected target sites, later analyzed using mass spectrometer, allowing detectability limit down 30 ppt. Meanwhile, meteorological conditions continuously monitored means high-resolution, nonconventional network ground-based instruments, including 15 stations, one temperature profiler, sodar, Doppler wind lidar. Data from above measurements represent rare examples integrated datasets available community for characterization typical mountainous environment. In particular, they offered reference benchmark testing calibrating series combined numerical suites prediction pollutant simulation such complex terrain, as shown paper.

The Bolzano-Poincaré Type Theorems
In 1883–1884, Henri Poincaré announced the result about the structure of the set of zeros of function f : I → R, or alternatively the existence of solutions of the equation f x 0. In the case n 1 the Poincaré Theorem is well known Bolzano Theorem. In 1940Miranda rediscovered the Poincaré Theorem. Except for few isolated results it is essentially a non-algorithmic theory. The aim of this article...
متن کاملSempiternal Truth. The Bolzano-Twardowski-Lesniewski Axis
In 1913 Stanisław Leśniewski published his article on the sempiternity of truth, ‘Is Truth only Eternal or is it both Eternal and Sempiternal?’ (1913). The paper, directed against Kotarbiński’s ‘The Problem of the Existence of the Future’ (1913), made an important contribution to the debate on the excluded middle current in the Lvov circle in those years. The discussion involved at the same tim...

متن کاملLimited Omniscience and the Bolzano-weierstrass Principle
The constructive study of metric spaces requires at first an examination of each classical proposition for numerical content. In classical mathematics it is a theorem that sequences in a compact space have convergent subsequences, but this is not constructively true. For compact intervals on the real line it has long been known that this theorem is nonconstructive because it implies the Limited...
متن کاملOn the computational content of the Bolzano-Weierstraß Principle
Wewill apply themethods developed in the field of ‘proofmining’ to the BolzanoWeierstraß theorem BW and calibrate the computational contribution of using this theorem in proofs of combinatorial statements. We provide an explicit solution of the Gödel functional interpretation (combined with negative translation) as well as the monotone functional interpretation of BW for the product space ∏i∈N[...
